Chalk Repertory Theatre returns to Hollywood Forever Cemetery to open its 2012 Season with the West Coast Premiere of SLITHER by award-winning playwright Carson Kreitzer. Performances will run for a limited engagement, February 9th through March 4th 2012 in the Masonic Lodge at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Intertwining like snakes, the tales of four women illuminate the ever-shifting relationship between women, power, and religion. Through the love and survival of a carnival snake dancer, a preacher’s wife, a Cretan priestess, and Eve, the mother of us all, SLITHER gives a fresh look at the complicated relationship between snakes and women and the beauty within us all.

The play is approximately 80 minutes in length and will be performed without intermission.

NOTE: The performance will be held in a beautiful Masonic hall on the second floor of a Masonic building built in 1927. There are no elevators in this historic landmark.
